Christine from Norway - a story and video:) "the bouquet toss"

At midnight..on July 27th..after the most incredible, memorable, OMG wedding EVER!..Julian and I made our way from The Fort ..towards our Bridal Suite...(where he was anxious to figure out how to get me out of my dress and bobby pins..hehe:)

I didn't realize...the rest of the troops were with us!..but they were!

Anyway..as we made our way through the very crowded Piazza in Vernazza (village square)..and there are tons of tourists there..

When they saw us..they started to clap and cheer for the bride and groom..and we were quickly approached by a young man...Jordan from Vancouver!! go figure....hehe..and he was very excited about our wedding..

and the crowd started yelling for me to throw my bouquet..but i only had MY bouquet which i didn't want to throw..and like magic..my lovely sister Carol provided her bouquet...and told me i could throw it..hehe:)

so i started singing..""all the single ladies..all the single ladies"

and they gathered!..and gathered!..and giggled..and pushed..and prepared..

and i turned away from the crowd and threw my bouquet..

and i turned around in time to see a blond in a white dress dive..like 6 feet (2 meters for the Europeans) or something..

wow..and she landed on her knees..and caught the bouquet..and a man ran to her to hug her..they were so happy!!..hehe..

and then..we were trying to figure out a garter..cause i wasn't wearing one..and the men were waiting..well..I wanted to give them a show..i love being the Bride!!

so i asked for a ribbon..which someone produced from a bouquet..(it may have come off of mine??)..

and i needed it tied around my thigh..

and this Canadian ..Jordan..i don't know where he came from..or what happened..but he was on his knees in front of me..and he really wanted to do it..

and i hesitate..hehe:)..omg..it was tempting..but..i came to my commando senses..and said  NO JORDAN!!..you cannot tie the garter on my leg.  I don't know who did??..does anyone know?  Lynn?

anyway..you will hear a lot more about Jordan later..

but i quickly explained the custom to Julian..who hadn't heard of this before..and in he went..

right under my dress..to untie this ribbon in the dark..haha!..

it was sooo funny..

and then out popped Julian..looking hot and happy from under my dress:)

and then Julian tossed the garter to the men..

the next morning..we were all sitting around eating breakfast..and i saw Christine walk by..i wouldn't have recognized her..but she was still wearing the same dress..

TURNS OUT SHE IS A WOMEN'S SOCCER GOALIE..!!!.HAHAHAHA!!
