Our German Wedding Day

Monday evening Julian picked me up at the Frankfurt airport. I had slept 1 hour on the plane from Canada. We arrived home at 7pm and immediately began to prepare for our wedding day.  We got up Tuesday morning at 5:30 am.  I hadn't slept one minute:)

but it's our "legal" wedding day.  Who has time to be tired.  We were VERY excited!!

We left 1 hour to put me into my dress...that was funny:)..a few times Julian scratched his head in confusion:)

8am We stop at the local florists for our flowers

We get on the train at Pragfriedhof

We have arrived early at the Standesamt.  I was nervous..and really didn't want to go in:)

Our Standesamt Wedding - October 8, 2013 9:30 am

THEN.....after our champagne celebration, Julian and I go to the "scary" office, to ask for an extension on my visa..

Here we are at the Government office..waiting our turn!..there is no lineup..yah!!..we quickly fill out the application needed for this appointment..

see this guy..sitting at his desk..counting the days i have been in the country..we can see he is making a card..we think it's a card that says how long i can stay in the country!..we are getting very excited!..we are trying to stay calm:)  hehe:)

WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!..
I can stay until January 31st 2014.  I should pass my A1 German language course before that date...
Well..if i havn't, he said, they will give me an extension.
So now that we are married..they will help me to stay in the country.  The pressure is off!
